Support template arguments -- for embedding subpage list of target page instead of current-embedding page

Current use on pages, see sidebar "What links here" for Template:subpages page, i.e. Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:subpages, or similarly, analogously for Template:linkshere page Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:linkshere.

Sometimes you want to embed links for another page, and the templates make it easy to add explainers, or simple invocations so more editors can more easily add the templates.

{{Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:linkshere}} works on any page, even here on this talk page (getting error / slow to render during editing. Which may be an general issue, or may be due to additional load. Category:Wiki/Project --Mcint (talk) --~~~~ 15:40, 26 August 2025 (PDT)
