Purpose -- could be better? clearer? Better pursued?

We have the Bylaws adopted in 2008 planning and 2009 incorporation. In the Bylaws we set out the purpose of the space, Bylaws#3.1_Purpose. Does that purpose need updating? Can we better fulfill the mission? Does it fully and accurately reflect our activities? Does it invite us to still better ones?

Statement on, updates or commitment to emphasis—Annual? Board + membership discussion?

We could update this page. It would be helpful, to adapt & adopt community affirmations of the aspects of the mission, from Purpose / Bylaws#3.1_Purpose we feel most ready, able, & interested to pursue most fully.

Often these can broad discussions can raise issues that feel incredibly important to some people while inappropriate to others. Such a meeting to affirm values and focus, the then-current emphasis, should be done in a "gather suggestions phase" and "measure breadth of support, and countervailing concerns".
