Recurring Events (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) now possible on Discuss

[edit | edit source]

James2020-08-21

Continuing the discussion from [[Success] Weekly Recurring Event Test](https://discuss.noisebridge.info/t/success-weekly-recurring-event-test/2018/2):

tldr; our weekly meeting topic can now be recurring. Same with all regular classes via the Discuss calendar. @Rikke @nthmost @the @pyconaut @lxpk

Weekly recurring events now work, but the way they happen is:

``` Create topic Click Gear Icon in post menu. Add an Event Set recurrence. optionally, add reminders as well for minutes / hours / days before the event. ```
Now the event will automatically roll over to a new calendar date, but still link to the same topic. It is still under heavy development, but I hope it will soon spam our calendar with all future dates regardless of whether they link back to the same event notice. See this discussion on future development via meta discourse.
