Custom PCB Prototyping Using a Laser Cutter[edit | edit source]

Custom PCB Prototyping Using a Laser Cutter: I am going to walk you through the process of prototyping a Printed Circuit Board using a laser cutter and supplies from your local Radioshack and hardware store.  This is a process I have perfected...

Is this that could be attempted with our laser cutter? or has someone already tried?

I see no reason why not. The laser from the instructions is a C02 laser with less wattage than ours. So it should be possible.

I would only question the effectiveness of the laser cutting approach (multiple layers of paint, laser, then etching) as opposed to using the PCB cnc.

Oh, I didn’t realize we had a PCB cnc… yeah, never mind

- The wiki on this one is a bit out of date. But someone has been making PCBs on in during the last week. The mill is on the top shelf next to the laser cutter.
