While at Noisebridge you may not take photos of any human without their consent. This applies to all events at Noisebridge. Parties are not an exception. Ideally your photos will not include any part of any person that hasn't consented to a photo. If that is not possible you must exclude their faces or any uniquely identifying part of their body or clothing.

How to handle event photos

You have a few options for taking photos of groups of people during events:

  1. Gather everyone for a group photo. The implicit consent is enough to ensure everyone is okay with a photo.
  2. Inform everyone that photos will be taken during the event. Provide special stickers, lanyards, hats, etc. that people can wear to indicate they would like to be excluded from photos. Ensure any photographers are aware of this rule.

86 Exception

If you need a photo for an entry on the 86 page it is acceptable to take one without consent. However, do not share the photo more than is strictly necessary until the 86 is finalized.
