Friday, October 23, 7PM, at Noisebridge.

Learn about the 2 industrial machines Noisebridge has, and about sewing in general. Non-exhaustive subjects to be covered, or at least touched on:

  • How to run each sewing machine without injury
  • changing thread colors
  • winding a bobbin
  • what each machine is suitable and not suitable for
  • care, feeding, and cleanup

The goal is to get you comfortable enough on these machines to add sewing to your list of project techniques. Some examples I've heard about include a glove that you can operate an iPod with; Noisebridge sew-on patches; mending backpacks; an RFID cloning glove; and of course the Compass Vibro Anklet.
