Announcements

Announcements is a place to post announcements or discussion topics for upcoming meetings and summarize past ones.

Not everyone can attend all meetings to hear every announcement or share all their announcements with the group live.

Who uses pre-announcements?

Some regular pre-announcement topics that make it easier for maintainers to announce things for next meeting:

• Financial report can be updated directly by the Treasurer and read aloud at meeting without them needing to be there as they have enough work to do as it is unless there's a treasury discussion to be had.
• Guilds maintaining events and resources can announce their recruiting, fundraising or event promotions here to be read aloud at meeting to raise awareness.

Upcoming Meeting Announcements & Topics

• Write upcoming meeting announcements as bullet points here for copy-pasting into the notes during meetings they'll be read at.
• Write an asterisk before the guild, event or resource name followed by a dash, a date if any, another dash, and the short 1 paragraph maximum announcement.
• End with "ONGOING" if your announcement needs to be read until a need is resolved or event date is past. Make sure to remove ONGOING once that happens.
• Note-takers during meetings who share the announcements can move old announcements into the past list at the bottom unless they specifically say "ONGOING" in their announcement.

• 3D Printing needs maintainers and event organizers! Noisebridge is getting a super powerful large multi-material printer donated that people will want to learn. ONGOING
• Noisebrew is starting soon and accepting funding and equipment donations! Add your name to the wiki page if you're interested in participating or helping. ONGOING
• Fundraising is planning a future grand reopening fundraiser and wants every group at Noisebridge to get ready to promote and exhibit things for it. Meetings during Doocratic Thursdays 6-9PM. ONGOING
