Announcements is a place to post announcements or discussion topics for upcoming meetings and summarize past ones.

Not everyone can attend all meetings to hear every announcement or share all their announcements with the group live.

Some regular pre-announcement topics that make it easier for maintainers to announce things for next meeting:

Financial report can be updated directly by the Treasurer and read aloud at meeting without them needing to be there as they have enough work to do as it is unless there's a treasury discussion to be had.
Guilds maintaining events and resources can announce their recruiting, fundraising or event promotions here to be read aloud at meeting to raise awareness.

These don't need to be as detailed as the meeting notes.
