We have form the DC415 group is 415 just because is the main city area code, but all bay area residents are invited to join.

At [https://defcon.org/html/defcon-33/dc-33-index.html DC33], a group of hackers started communicating to unofficially restart the DC415 group. During the [[5MoF/2025/08 21|2025/08 21]] [[Five Minutes of Fame]], a group of people from this group cemented having [[meetings]] at [[Noisebridge]] to revive DC415.


The first informal meeting was at the 30th Anniversary of the [[wikipedia:Hackers_(film)|Hackers film]] hosted at [https://www.dnalounge.com/ DNA lounge]'s [https://www.dnalounge.com/calendar/2025/09-05.html Cyberdelia event]. At DC33, a group of hackers started communicating to unofficially restart the DC415 group. During the 2025/08 21 Five Minutes of Fame, a group of people from this group cemented having meetings at Noisebridge to revive DC415.

The first informal meeting was at the 30th Anniversary of the Hackers film hosted at DNA lounge's Cyberdelia event. The first official meeting of the group after restart was on October 14, 2025 in the electronics room at 7pm.
